Alejandro Cabeza

His painting career mainly supported the use of a technique Impressionist art, and perhaps because of this fact that the tables revolve around the landscape, the composition of figures and portraits, which has reached the appreciation of critics and audiences.
Alejandro Cabeza suddenly grown an impressionist painting that is totally different from the styles, fashions and what you get in the beginning of XXI century.

Sharin Barber

I painted this Self Portrait in oils on a 24" x 36" canvas, the orchid in
the painting has two flowers in every bloom, so being Bipolar and
always of two minds I took a photo sitting in front of my Mac
and just started to paint!

My work is born from a need to express myself through multifaceted means, the self portrait constitutes a sizable portion of my production.A painted portrait, is far more than a pictorial representation as with a photograph, self introspection is a fundamental process, It enables a realisation of 'self', within ones physical presence, and the wider world in which 'self' exists. Whenever someone paints themselves they are also painting all human kind.

Title: The Red Hat

29 x 39 cm

Acrylic on Canvas Paper

This painting was executed at the very end of December 2011. I did this to test out a combination of direct/indirect painting which I explain in some detail on my blog. I am currently journeying towards becoming a full time professional fine artist and teacher. I paint because I must. When I am painting my life makes more sense.

Title: Self Portrait 2012

11"x14" Acrylic on Canvas Panel

I painted this self portrait in 1 hour before I had to go to work. I was inspired by the words of an artist friend who once remarked on the lack of bright colors in most of my paintings.

Acrylic on canvas (2 panels - 30x60 cms each)

I did this one in an hour, my mind torn into two extremes....it was done fast...in a frenzy.....I could never put them together aligned...proportionate....
I find it proportionate, unproportionate...
There's a battle we fight within us every day.....
Keep fighting...there will be peace someday.
