Here is a self portrait on gessoed watercolor paper full sheet 22 x 30. I teach watercolor portraiture. In the advanced class, I assign a self portrait. I really had fun with the assignment, myself. It is a wonderful way to learn to accept oneself. I was 64 when I started the self portrait process. Definitely a time for reflection.
What an expressive painting! Wonderful. It is very textured and interesting and deep for a watercolor (if you know what I mean). Wish I could take your class.
Email me a jpg image which is clear and cropped. Include your name, email, website or blog address, size, title, medium and a little background on your work.
Please share your self portraits with the rest of us..... Even the ones you have thrown in the back of your closet or in your basement. Seeing each others' self portraits will be not only entertaining, but hopefully we can learn something from each other. Sorry, no photographs, no digital artwork. Only drawings and paintings.
