This was one of five prizewinners on BBC The One Show Summer Exhibition.
My overwhelming passion is painting portraits and people because they are so diverse and endlessly fascinating. This self portrait was inspired by numerous double and triple aspect portraits through the ages, all of which I love. The composition came straight from 'The Three Graces' sculpture by Antonio Canova.
