Dean Grey

"Depressed" self-portrait

Mixed media on watercolor paper - 8" x 10"

This self-portrait represents my lifelong struggle with depression.
The sadness. The pain. The hopelessness.

It just won't let me be and I fear it'll always be a part of my life.

  5. Wow-Dean-this self portrait is STUNNING! THere is so much emotion, skill and sheer HUMANITY. I am sorry to hear of your struggle with depression-it is hearening, though, that you can express yourself through art and hopefully that will be a healing agent as well. Best of luck and fantastic work. I am going to check out your website.
